Send estimate requests into the dashboard, and record counted estimates. Plain rules, short examples.
What you can connect
Three ways to send estimate requests into a client's dashboard, and one endpoint our own systems use to record counted estimates.
| What | Direction | Where you set it up |
|---|---|---|
| Website form endpoint and snippet | Into the dashboard | Settings › Connections |
| Webhooks (Zapier, Make, or your own code) | Into the dashboard | Settings › Connections |
| CSV import | Into the dashboard | Settings › Connections |
| Usage endpoint (/api/estimates/usage) | Platform → billing | An API key from support@xtimates.com |
Secrets and keys
- An owner or admin creates the website form endpoint, the webhook URL and CSV import in Settings › Connections. Each one comes with its own secret.
- Keys for the usage endpoint are issued by us, on request to support@xtimates.com, to a named account and purpose.
- Keep every secret out of client-side code, public repositories and URLs. If one leaks, rotate it in Settings › Connections and tell us.
The rules
Send only data you have the right to send, about people who asked the client for a price. Don't load-test, probe or scrape. We can change these endpoints, and we'll email the key's owner before a change that would break an integration. Questions: support@xtimates.com.
